Sean Cassidy a native of Ballyconnell has been painting for the past 30 years and has proven himself effective in all mediums. He is inspired by West Cavan’s unspoiled beauty and captures it in his paintings.

Sean’s talent is recognised World Wide included the Amnesty International Award in conjunction with Sligo Art Gallery, among other Regional and National Awards. Exhibition success has been achieved both throughout Ireland with justifiable recognition in New York. His work is among private collections in Europe, Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia, Malta, Chile, Dubai & Finland. His still life work is well known, however he is particularly respected for his landscapes, famine themes and Celtic paintings.

Sean is married to Elaine and has three sons Cormac, Kevin & Fintan.
