Frances J. Sawaya – Teacher, Patchworker and Quilter

For over twenty years, Frances has enjoyed designing and making quilts in traditional patterns and in innovative interpretations of social themes.
She has also been a founder member of The Quilters Guild of Ireland, The Cavan Monaghan Craft Network, Erne Quilters and the Textile Art Forum.
Since retiring to County Cavan in 1998, Frances has shared her teaching and lecturing skills with guilds across Ireland and Northern Ireland while continuing to produce quilts for home decor.
Her commissioned work is on display in homes from Japan to France to Ireland and in many areas of the United States.
